3-8 kg

It's not genetically engineered in any way, just well bred. It's sashimi-grade and sustainably farmed without hormones or prophylactic antibiotics. It's richer in omega-3 than just about anything else in the ocean and has no detectable mercury. It melts on your tongue, holds up on the grill, and is so rich in oils that it'll fry in a pan without butter.

R&D PROJECT AND PRODUCTION UPDATE

The first phase of our R&D commercializing project in Cabo Verde is now complete. The commercial pilot production of Esmoregal (Seriola rivoliana) is ongoing, and our first production is expected to be presented to the market in Q3 this year. This signifies a key advancement in the pursuit of sustainable and profitable production of high-value fish in Cape Verde.

Further we are now focusing on our second R&D phase on Cabo Verde, preparing our facilities for this year's Atlantic Bluefin Tuna (ABFT) pilot production. Our protocols have through the past two years been further refined and extended for sea-farming of ABFT and other promising species in Cabo Verde waters. One of Nortuna's main targets this year is to succeed with ABFT in Cabo Verde.

ABFT is considered to be the fish farming industry's "holy grail" due to its high growth rate and great market value. Our methodology has been demonstrated through repeated R&D production of  ABFT up to 35kg in the Mediterranean.
