Recently a new group of Seriola rivoliana juveniles left the hatchery and was transported to our sea facility. This marks the completion of the first commercial juvenile production batch.
-A total of 11 releases of juveniles were carried out in September, and we achieved a significant improvement in survival rates in hatchery compared to previous results. These strong numbers are a direct result of the dedicated work our team in Cape Verde has put in throughout the spring and summer," explains Nortuna's CEO, Jan Magne Gilje.
Seriola Broodstock in Excellent Condition
We have now had continuous spawning from our broodstock at the hatchery for a period of more than 16 months. The condition of the group remains very strong. The conditions are favourable for a continued predictable supply of eggs, enabling a stable and gradually increasing production of Seriola.
